Partner

Education: The Ohio State University
Special Interests: Large and Companion Animal
Locations: Yorkshire, Large Animal Road Service

Ted R. Wolf, DVM

Dr. Ted Wolf hails from the Buckeye State.  Born in Canton, he grew up in Louisville and attended The Ohio State University.  Prior to graduating and joining our practice in 1997, he was a herdsman for the dairy on OSU’s campus.  Another interesting job he had involved the treatment of primates used in AIDS research.  While his work today primarily involves the bovine species, he still strives to stay up-to-date with the latest research, especially in bovine reproduction.  Dr. Wolf has had additional training in bovine ultrasound.  Some of his other professional interests include general practice, facility design, and calf management.  He enjoys practicing general companion animal medicine and surgery.  Today he is happily married to Dr. Liz Wolf, who is also a veterinarian with our team.  He thoroughly enjoys family time and keeping up with his children, Claire, Grace, and Sam.  Four dogs in the household (Jett, Basil, Zinger, and Sophie) also keep him busy.  Hunting, sports, and raising heifers are some of his other passions.

David Hale, DVM

Partner Emeritus

Education: Cornell University
Special Interests: Large and Companion Animal
Locations: Perry, Batavia, Yorkshire, Large Animal Road Service

David Hale, DVM

Dr. David Hale’s childhood was spent in Lakeview, NY, where some of his fondest memories include working with cattle on his grandfather’s dairy farm.  Dr. Hale thoroughly enjoyed working with dairy cattle and wanted nothing more than to pursue a “cow” career.  In between this decision and graduating from Cornell University with his degree in veterinary medicine (1986-he joined our practice shortly thereafter), Dr. Hale held a very interesting job as a binding mechanic in Teton Village (Jackson Hole, Wyoming).  Dr. Hale received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Westminster College, and he is a proud member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners.  His interests are in dairy nutrition and embryo transfer.  When he is not focusing on his “cow” career or practicing companion animal medicine at our Yorkshire location, he enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, and taking vacations with his family (wife Alice, two sons Andrew and Brian, two daughters Laura and Maggie).  Dr. Hale also shares his home with beloved pets Sampson (Cur mix), Juno (Black Lab), Max and Libby (cats).

Dr. Meagan Hilsdorf-Towner was born in Bath, NY and raised in the small farming community of Wheeler, NY (just outside of Bath, NY).  She went to Prattsburgh Central School.  Dr. Hilsdorf received her undergrad degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Biology from Keuka College.  She then went on to vet school at Ross University and graduated in September of 2017 with Highest Honors.  With growing up in a rural community Dr. Hilsdorf had a love for animals and when she asked she would say she wanted to be a farmer or a veterinarian.  While in high school she was able to shadow at the local veterinary office, and there she fell in love with the veterinary profession and felt it was her calling.  Additionally, growing up with many pets ranging from cats and a dog, to rabbits and a guinea pig, she had a great appreciation and bond with animals and the human-animal bond.  Dr. Hilsdorf-Towner’s first professional job was working at her local veterinary office as a veterinary assistant.  While attending Keuka College she had the opportunity to volunteer at the Buffalo Zoo in the rainforest department and went on a Spanish Study Abroad in Costa Rica.  Dr. Hilsdorf’s professional interests include dentistry, ultrasound, and physical therapy.  Her personal interests include anything outdoors (hunting, fishing, hiking and camping).  She also enjoys painting and doing various crafts.  Dr. Hilsdorf adds that she would not have been able to achieve her dream of becoming a veterinarian without the love and support of her loving parents, Douglas and Karen, her siblings, Matthew and Mackenzie, her boyfriend (now fiancé), Kevin, her grandmother Diana and her best friend Ashley.  Dr. Hilsdorf-Towner’s furry family consists of a Brittany Spaniel named Riley.

Gisselle Garcia, DVM

Dr. Garcia grew up in New Milford, NJ just outside of Manhattan, NY. She has loved animals since she was young and always wanted to become a vet. The farm at the University of Delaware introduced her to production and other large animals and opened her eyes to the diversity of veterinary medicine and just how much she could do with a veterinary degree.  While at the University of Delaware she earned a Honors Degree with Distinction Pre-Veterinary and Animal Biosciences and a Master’s in Animal Science with a concentration in Business, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship.  In 2024, Dr. Garcia graduated with a DVM from Mississippi State where she continued to develop her interest in production medicine. She also recently completed Cornell Summer Dairy Institute.  Dr. Garcia loves how vet med brings together individual animal health, human health, economics, problem-solving and the teamwork between the veterinarian and the animal owner to reach their common goal.  Dr. Garcia is excited to rediscover old hobbies and interests including crocheting, watching history and true crime documentaries and expanding her library.  Dr. Garcia is at home in the West Falls/East Aurora area with her two cats Oskar and Sesame.
