Dr. Emily Sabo grew up in New Philadelphia, OH. Dr. Sabo always wanted to work in a field that incorporated science, animals, and the outdoors. She worked with a dairy vet for a few months and became hooked on the industry. Dr. Sabo graduated from the Colgate University with a degree in Molecular Biology, and she went on to Cornell University for vet school. Her professional interest is in advanced reproductive techniques like embryo transfer / IVF. However, she can get excited about almost anything in the dairy industry. Dr. Sabo is a member of the American Embryo Transfer Association and the American Vet Medical Association. She is most involved in the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, acting as Cornell’s student delegate for two years and was recently appointed to the Student Activities Committee. Dr. Sabo has been awarded the AABP Amstutz Scholarship in 2013 and received a Theriogenology competence prize upon graduation. She enjoys the outdoors while running, telemark and cross country skiing, hunting, trapping, and hiking. Dr. Sabo resides in Geneseo. Her furry family consists of a yellow lab, “Aspen” and a 3-legged rabbit, “Briar”, she also receives occasional visits from “Oak”, a yellow lab.
