Chase Thut, DVM
Dr. Thut is from Smithville, Ohio and grew up on a small dairy farm. He milked cows and worked on farms all through high school and college and always knew he wanted to be a large animal vet focused on dairy. Dr. Thut received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Ohio State University and continued on to earn his DVM in 2022. He attended the Summer Dairy Institute at Cornell University and received additional training in dairy consulting, reproduction, nutrition, milk-quality and financial decision-making. Dr. Thut’s goals include helping producers increase their productivity and profitability while maintaining cow health and comfort. He is a member of the AABP and AVMA. Dr. Thut lives in Warsaw, NY with his wife Ally, a registered nurse, and their lab Bear. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, hiking, and skiing.
