Jessica Litteer, DVM
Dr. Jessica Litteer’s childhood was spent in Conesus, NY, where her father raised beagles. Naturally, she ended up spending a lot of time around veterinarians, and she knew that was the profession she would enter someday. As a teenager, Dr. Litteer’s first job was the kennel assistant at our Livonia location. Her undergraduate education was completed at St. John Fisher College, and she went on to vet school at Cornell (class of 2004). In 2007, Dr. Litteer joined our team. Her professional interests include: dentistry, soft tissue surgery, endocrine diseases (diabetes, Cushing’s disease, Addison’s disease), and pocket pet (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc.) care. She is also a professional bargain shopper, and can often be found hunting through the clothing racks at Goodwill! In Dr. Litteer’s spare time she volunteers for local feral cat spay and neuter clinics. Her passion for assisting with the feral cat population extends to her personal life, as she cares for a feral cat colony near her house. Some of the cats who have made their way into her home include: Greyboy, Louis, Edith, Beatrice, and Gilbert. Dr. Litteer also has a bearded dragon and fish. In September of 2013, she added whippet mix Bella Bean (a rescue from Livingston County Dog Control) to the family. Two legged members of the household include husband Dan (also a veterinarian at our practice) and daughter Jane.
