Additionally, growing up with many pets ranging from cats and a dog, to rabbits and a guinea pig, she had a great appreciation and bond with animals and the human-animal bond. Dr. Hilsdorf-Towner’s first professional job was working at her local veterinary office as a veterinary assistant. While attending Keuka College she had the opportunity to volunteer at the Buffalo Zoo in the rainforest department and went on a Spanish Study Abroad in Costa Rica. Dr. Hilsdorf’s professional interests include dentistry, ultrasound, and physical therapy. Her personal interests include anything outdoors (hunting, fishing, hiking and camping). She also enjoys painting and doing various crafts. Dr. Hilsdorf adds that she would not have been able to achieve her dream of becoming a veterinarian without the love and support of her loving parents, Douglas and Karen, her siblings, Matthew and Mackenzie, her boyfriend (now fiancé), Kevin, her grandmother Diana and her best friend Ashley. Dr. Hilsdorf-Towner’s furry family consists of a Brittany Spaniel named Riley.
