Shaanthi Nair, DVM
Dr. Nair was born in Rochester, NY but grew up in Huntington, West Virginia. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Cedarville University in Ohio and her DVM from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. Dr. Nair had an early love of science, medicine, and animals. While in vet school she fell in love with livestock animals (particularly cattle) and agriculture. She is committed and passionate about using her knowledge of animal health to support producers in their tireless work to feed society. Dr. Nair is a member of Phi Zeta (veterinary medicine honor society), received three Robert C Brown awards for Communication and an Outstanding Service Award for her work on the Curriculum Committee while at Virginia-Maryland. Dr. Nair lives in Avon, NY and enjoys hiking, kayaking, spending time with family, is an avid follower of women’s soccer and loves film and cinematography.
